How much does a rooftop solar system cost in Bihar?
A typical on-grid home system costs roughly ₹55,000–₹70,000 per kW before subsidy, depending on brand, structure height and site conditions. After Central + Bihar Govt. subsidy (up to ₹98,000), a 3 kW system becomes much more affordable. We share an exact, itemised quote after the free site survey.
How much subsidy will I get in Bihar?
You get two subsidies. Central (PM Surya Ghar): ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or above. Bihar Govt.: ₹10,000 per kW, up to ₹20,000. So a 3 kW home system gets up to ₹98,000 in total. The amount is credited directly to your bank account after installation, inspection and net-meter commissioning.
How much roof space do I need?
Roughly 80–100 sq ft of shadow-free roof area per kW. So a 3 kW system needs about 250–300 sq ft. We also design elevated structures so your roof stays usable.
How long does installation take?
On-site installation usually takes 1–3 days for homes. Approvals, net-meter installation and subsidy processing depend on the DISCOM and portal timelines — we follow up at every stage for you.
Will solar work during a power cut?
An on-grid system shuts down during grid outages for safety. If you need backup, choose a hybrid or off-grid system with batteries — it keeps running when the grid is down.
What maintenance is needed?
Very little. Clean the panels with plain water every 2–3 weeks (more often in dusty months) and get a yearly health check. Our AMC plans take care of this for you.
Can I get a loan or EMI for solar?
Yes. Under PM Surya Ghar, nationalised banks offer affordable rooftop solar loans. We guide you through the documentation.
